Oil Ranch

Oil Ranch is located in Hockley.  Each year, they host their Pumpkin and Scarecrow Festival. Hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 am-2:30 pm, Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, and Sundays 12 pm – 5 pm. They offer hayrides, tours of the scarecrow scenes, and tons of pumpkins!  Your admission includes ALL of the activities listed on the website (with the exception of Paintball and Mining). Also, each child gets a free pumpkin with paid admission 🙂

St. Peter’s United Methodist Church

St. Peter’s UMC Pumpkin Patch will run Monday, October 9 thru Tuesday, October 31. The hours are Monday-Saturday,  9 am-7 pm and Sunday noon-7 pm. The pumpkin patch will close on Halloween. Pumpkins start at $1, and there are some cute backdrops for photo opportunities!  All the proceeds go to offset the cost of the annual High School Ministry Mission Trip to Jamaica.

Blessington Farms

Blessington Farms opens on Sept. 23th!  For those who don’t know, this is a great little place where you can go pick blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries during the year.  When fall comes, they have a great live pumpkin patch, lots of activities for the kids (think a hay maze, hay rides, barrel train rides, big slides, sand mountains, etc).  It really is a great place to bring your kids.

Dewberry Farm

The Dewberry Farms Pumpkin Patch opens to the public on weekends September 30 through November 12.  The hours are Saturdays: 10 am – 6 pm, and Sundays:  Noon- 6pm.  Dewberry Farms has a TON of stuff for you to do.  They have a great corn maze with an election theme this year!  You can pick your pumpkin, see lighted pumpkins, and visit the area with all the rides.

Dewberry Farms is located off of Hwy. 362, out past Brookshire.  Not too far!  This is an easy day trip, and you will have plenty of time at the farm.
