Lamar CISD 2017 TEA Ratings

The 2017 Texas Education Agency ratings have been released. We are proud to share that Long Meadow Farms schools have exceeded results, earning several distinction designations.

The 2017 ratings are based on a system that uses a range of indicators to provide greater detail about the performance of a district or charter and individual campuses throughout the state. In addition to the ratings, distinction designations were awarded to campuses based on achievement on performance indicators compared to a group of 40 campuses of similar type, size and student demographics.

Distinction designations are awarded to campuses based on their achievement in performance indicators relative to a group of 40 similar campuses, size and student demographics. The number of potential distinction designations vary, depending on campus grade levels and type.

Our very own on-site school, Adolphus Elementary, earned three distinction designations for academic achievement in mathematics, student progress and closing performance gaps.

Briscoe Junior High, now in its second year, earned two distinction designations for academic achievement in mathematics and postsecondary readiness.

Foster High School also earned two distinction designations for academic achievement in student progress and closing performance gaps.

Up to seven Distinction Designations can be earned. They are: Academic Achievement in English Language Arts/Reading, Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, Top 25 Percent: Student Progress, Top 25 Percent: Closing Performance Gaps, and Post-Secondary Readiness.

Congratulations to the young residents in our community and the teachers who earned these achievements. As a resident on Long Meadow Farms, your children will access to an exceptional education within the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District.
